Jan. 1

• 1:17 a.m. First Street. Caller advised a fight of about six males. Officer was told a family member had started causing problems and was thrown out and had left the area.

• 2:22 a.m. Nimitz. A man called saying a male in a white shirt was trying to fight everyone in sight. Officers were advised the subject was walking through the area and exchanged words with the people who live on Nimitz. NMSP gave him a ride to Inwood.

• 2:57 Inwood. A woman requested officer presence regarding a male in a black shirt yelling at himself. Officers reported the man was going to the hospital to have his arm checked out.

Jan. 2

• 7:28 a.m. Encino. Caller reported vandalism to vehicles on his property. Reports were made concerning the spray paint on vehicles and mailboxes nearby

Jan. 3

• 9:06 p.m. Stephens. A woman called to request a report on vandalism to her vehicle. Her son took the vehicle to a restaurant and when he returned she noticed the damage.

• 2:47 p.m. Washington. A female police officer reported that her unit had been vandalized. The rear tires were slashed.

Jan. 5

• 11:04 a.m. Roberts. A woman told officers that a vehicle which did not belong to any employees was parked in the store parking lot. A pan handler said he had parked the vehicle there to walk to the corner to ask for money.

Sentencing

• Shawn Calvert, DOB Jul. 19, 1980, was convicted of one count of abandonment of a child, a misdemeanor offense. He shall be committed to the custody of the Cibola County Detention Center for a period of 364 days. All of the above sentence shall be suspended on the condition that he be placed on supervised probation for 364 days with the Adult Probation and Parole Office. He shall pay a $5 domestic violence education fee. He shall pay probation costs determined by the APPO and shall enter into any and all programs recommended by the APPO. He shall enter into and successfully complete a drug rehabilitation program.  He shall receive presentence confinement credit of 129 days.

Whitehorse, DOB Oct. 22, 1961, was indicted on one count of child abuse, third degree felony; one count of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs (impaired), misdemeanor; one count of driving while license suspended/revoked, misdemeanor; child not properly restrained, misdemeanor.

• Buford Louis, DOB Jul. 22, 1976, was indicted on one count of armed robbery, second degree felony; one count of aggravated battery (deadly weapon), third degree felony; one count of aggravated assault (deadly weapon), fourth degree felony; criminal damage to property (over $1,000), fourth degree felony.

• Jessica Louis, DOB Nov. 02, 1959, was indicted on one count of armed robbery, second degree felony; one count of aggravated battery (deadly weapon), third degree felony; one count of aggravated assault (deadly weapon), fourth degree felony; criminal damage to property (over $1,000), fourth degree felony.

• Henry Canales, DOB May 28, 1985, was indicted on one count of assault with intent to commit a violent felony (firearm enhancement), third degree felony; aggravated battery (deadly weapon), third degree felony; possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon, fourth degree felony; criminal damage to property (under $1,000), petty misdemeanor.

• Darlene Valdez, DOB Apr. 21, 1983, was indicted on one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, fourth degree felony; criminal damage to property (over $1,000), fourth degree felony; leaving the scene of an accident, misdemeanor.

• Jerrod Garcia, DOB Dec. 18, 1976, was indicted on one count of aggravated assault (deadly weapon), fourth degree felony; criminal damage to property (under $1,000), fourth degree felony; resisting, evading or obstructing an officer (arrest), misdemeanor.
