Sweger is part of the faculty of the Bureau of Indian Education at Baca/Dlo'ay azhi Community School in Prewitt and she works with many schools in the Navajo Nation to assist them with their school improvement process.

The educator has been teaching for 11 years, including experience as a sixth grade teacher, reading facilitator and second grade teacher. She holds a masters degree in curriculum and instruction with a specialty in literacy, language and culture.

In addition to her teaching duties, Sweger serves as co-chair for school improvement and Coordinator for Wellness at Baca.

Along with her husband Randy, the 11-year resident of Grants leads the Celebrate Recovery at the Community Outreach Center on Santa Fe Ave. She also teaches water aerobics and life-guarding at Milan Pool and Sunday school at Immanuel Baptist Church, where she is also the vacation Bible School Director.
